Jordan Factor represents individuals and entities in a range of securities and general commercial cases. Mr. Factor also has considerable experience representing clients before state and federal appellate courts.
Mr. Factor has significant securities litigation experience, representing investors suffering losses in various financial products and in complex fraudulent schemes. Mr. Factor also litigates general commercial matters including partnership disputes and breach of contract actions and has brought cases to vindicate individuals' constitutional rights.
On behalf of his clients, Mr. Factor has prosecuted or defended individual actions, class actions, mass actions, and shareholder derivative suits. Mr. Factor has obtained successful results for his clients in state and federal court litigation, bankruptcy proceedings, and arbitrations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
Through Mr. Factor's intelligent and tenacious representation, his defense clients have obtained dismissal of the claims asserted against them and his plaintiff clients have received awards fully compensating them for their losses, including awards of punitive damages and attorney's fees, as well as settlements up to eight figures.
Mr. Factor has also briefed and argued over a dozen appeals, in areas as diverse as constitutional rights, federal sovereign immunity, landlord-tenant law, insurance bad faith, and real estate litigation.
As a result of Mr. Factor's success, 5280 Magazine has recognized him as a "Rising Star" of the Colorado legal profession for several years.
Mr. Factor was on the Editorial Board of the Yale Law Journal and was Co-Chairman of the Morris Tyler Moot Court of Appeals at Yale Law School. After law school, Mr. Factor served two terms as a law clerk for the Hon. Carlos Lucero on the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
