Eric James Hobbs

Hobbs focuses his practice on high-stakes litigation, including complex business disputes, product liability and tort matters. He has defended and prosecuted claims nationwide on behalf of clients in a wide variety of industries, including the information technology, health care, alarm protection, medical/surgical device and automotive sectors, among others. He has significant experience in arbitration proceedings before the American Arbitration Association and JAMS, and he has also represented clients in mass tort and class action proceedings.

Before joining Shook, Hobbs clerked in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado, the Missouri Attorney General’s Office and the Denver District Attorney’s Office. Hobbs received his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he graduated in the top 2% of his class, and his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Missouri.
