Have treid criminal cases in the federal courts for approximately forty-four years as a department of Justice Special Attorney,as an Assistant U. S. Attorney, as the first Federal Public Defender for the District of Colorado, and as a private practitoner since 1979. I have represented corporate executives, public officials, lawyers, judges and private citizens.

I have argued appeals in the U. S. Courts of Appeal for the Second, Eighth and Tenth Circuits and the United States Supreme Court. In 1979, I presented oral argument before the U. S. Supreme Court in Dunn v. U. S., 442 U. S. 100 (1979), which resulted in a unanimous reversal of my client's conviction in an inconsistent declarations perjury case. I have handled appeals for the federal government as an Assistant U. S. Attorney, an for the indigent accused as Federal Public Defender for Colorado.
