Legal separation

Chris was able to make a seemingly overwhelming process into an easy one. He compiled all of our information in one session and gave us the forms to submit to the court and we didn't have to appear before a judge. He has made himself available for questions before, during, and even one year after t...he process for both sides. He is very knowledgeable and was able to mediate an agreement that worked for both sides. This is definitely the way to go if you are planning to get legally separated or divorced.

Very helpful

Three years after my divorce, I am still grateful to Chris for the assistance he provided at the time. Our situation was complicated (what divorce isn't?) by factors such as living abroad, co-parenting children, and shared properties. Chris talked us through several options and helped us navigate t...he tricky bits. Three years post-divorce, I am grateful that he has been in the business to write multiple clauses into our agreement that I would not have thought of at the time, saving many headaches later on. The only thing I would change would be to more closely consider the implications of the agreement on far-flung situations like shared financed when the kids go to college. Chris was friendly, professional, held both of our interests at stake. He was also expedient, and helped us navigate a complicated process in a relatively short time with as little headache as possible.

Saved Us a lot of Money

Chris helped my now-ex and me navigate a fairly complicated and somewhat emotional divorce. We jumped into mediation even before the court mandated Initial Status Conference. Doing this made this painful process whole lot easier so that we didn't need to go back to the courthouse and I truly believ...e save us a thousands of dollars in attorney fees.

Resolutions and Answers

I owe a lot of my current happiness to Mr. Griffith and his expertise which made the divorce process much quicker and simpler than I ever imagined. All of my fears about splitting the assets of our marriage were never realized and not having to spend unnecessary money to fight over the assets allowe...d me the ability to start over and be financially comfortable. Even after the divorce was final, and it was discovered that a portion of the financial settlement was not going to be feasible, Mr. Griffith came to the rescue once again, drawing up an amendment to the original settlement and giving guidance on how to file this amendment with the court. The change in the settlement required a QDRO, and although Split Simple doesn't do QDRO's, Mr. Griffith was able to direct us to a QDRO specialist who charges a reasonable flat fee. Mr. Griffith offers resolutions and answers which takes most of the stress out of the divorce process.

divorce - it can be a reasonable process

Mr. Griffith allowed my now ex-husband and me to navigate the divorce process at a fraction of the cost and heartache than my friends have described. I am so thankful I found Split Simple and Mr. Griffith. He led us through the process in a matter of fact, efficient way that saved hours of our time... and kept us on track to determining how we wanted our divorce to look without contentious lawyers. You must still be on speaking terms, but he treated the divorce more like a business transaction, taking the emotion out to get a good outcome for both parties and the children involved. I strongly urge any readers to consider mediating your divorce with Mr. Griffith - it will put you on to the path of a reasonable divorce with good co-parenting, and that should be our goal!
