We hired Mason Law in 2023 to do Estate Planning for us. My wife and I felt rushed and there was a strong sense of urgency to sign a contract. His listening skills and empathy are highly questionable. He aggressively pushed us to also do an Annual Maintenance agreement for $895 after our initial... first 12 months. An Annual review is included in the initial $6,200 fee and any updates are included in that initial payment. We only terminated the Maintenance Agreement with a full 2 months remaining that we had already paid for. Our communication with his receptionist was CYSTAL CLEAR to ONLY terminate the Maintenance Agreement. Yet we received an over the top letter from Mr. Mason stating we had completely terminated our entire relationship? We had NOT! There was NO communication to confirm if indeed that was our wishes after only a 10 month relationship! Paul Mason was immediately sent an email stating that we requested a meeting to clarify our intentions with an explanation of his fee schedule in his “Termination Letter” if we wanted to continue a any relationship. Common sense would have been a prudent step to verbally clarify our wishes prior to sending the letter but that never happened.

We hired Mr. Mason for estate planning purposes and to form LLCs for several properties. I paid $3800 as down payment for this work, stressing one time-sensitive thing I wanted done before leaving on a 3 week trip. I gave him written instructions not to work on anything until I returned because I w...anted to check with my CPA before he did any work other than an IRS appeal. He disregarded my instructions and kept my $3800 for which I got nothing AND did not do the one thing I asked him to. I found him to be lacking in knowledge and communication skills, unwilling to listen to instructions and dishonorable. We were left with the option of either walking away from the $3800 or proceeding with him which I could not do because I did not trust him or feel he had sufficient expertise to represent me. I would not recommend him to anyone.
