Unprofessional and Unresponsive

I had a highly unprofessional experience with Curtis Walton Law, particularly Danielle Curtis and Wade Walton. I hired them for a wrongful death case involving my pet and signed a contingent fee agreement, expecting timely updates and basic professionalism. What I received instead was silence, avoida...nce, and condescension. Despite multiple follow-ups, I got no meaningful updates. Eventually, I received a text from Danielle Curtis saying she was “literally sleeping” and that client texts should only be sent in emergencies—while I was left waiting for answers in a different time zone. It got worse. Emails to their firm started bouncing back, and only after I sent a formal demand for communication did I receive a sudden withdrawal email. They admitted they never contacted the defendant or progressed the case in any way, effectively leaving me without representation and wasting valuable time. I would not recommend this firm to anyone. If you value professionalism, clear communication, and accountability, look elsewhere.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
