You lose the deferred and get a conviction. Fight the DUR.

You have to comply with the interstate probation compact to move. See the probation department. We may be able to get you an interlock license in...

The DUI may show up. That would be a bigger problem. Even bigger yet, there may be a bench warrant for your arrest.

He would have to be brought in as a witness at trial. His statement could be used to impeach him if he changes what he says.

It will be more difficult to get a job, but not impossible. You may have to start off working for a small department.
