Sherri L. Giger

A lifelong cherished friend and classmate of my daughters was the victim of a vehicular homicide in Parker. The perpetrator was driving while under the influence of narcotics at 2:00 a.m., and had her 8 year old daughter in the car. She was driving from Colorado Springs to Aurora after being evicted ...from her sister's house and going to stay with a friend. Incredulously, her husband (not sure where he has been before and after this incident?), was requesting a bond reduction so that his wife "could help care for their little one". The police report states that their daughter was crying in the car after witnessing the tragic death of our beloved friend. I'm not sure what parent would entrust the care of a child to an admitted drug addict who was arrested for hitting and killing an innocent 25 year old who was walking across a well lit street with her police officer boyfriend after enjoying a night of country dancing? All facts I'm stating are in the police report and not my own. I am married to an attorney and have never been more impressed by the assertive and factual defense Ms. Giger presented to the judge in defense of not allowing the bond to be reduced. Ray Charles could see that she is a lawyer for all the right reasons. I live in Grand county, but want to impress upon those who live in Douglas county, that you have a rock star in your District Attorney's office and her name is Sherri Giger!
