John David Konz

John D. Konz is an attorney and shareholder whose practice is focused on elder law, as well as business and real estate transactions. As a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), John’s practice is focused in the areas of estate planning, contested and uncontested probate, guardianships, conservatorships, and Medicaid long-term care pre-planning and crisis planning. John also advises start-ups and established businesses, assisting in the creation of new businesses, acquisition, and sale of existing businesses, corporate governance, and all manner of transactions, contract drafting, and negotiation.

John takes pride in being able to put himself in his clients’ shoes to understand their needs while working meticulously and tirelessly to ensure clients receive the outcomes they deserve.

Prior to joining the firm, John worked as an attorney in New York City for one of the top-four firms worldwide advising multinational entities in the International Tax practice. During law school, John worked in commercial litigation and tax controversy firms in New York, as well as spent his summers clerking at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, the Colorado Supreme Court Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel, and Holland & Hart LLP. Moreover, John is proud to have served as a senior editor on the Hofstra Law Review and as a board member of the Hofstra Moot Court Board. John graduated from law school with honors and received a citation for excellence in Commercial Law. Perhaps most notably, John is proud to have first worked for the firm as a paralegal prior to attending law school and returning as an attorney and now shareholder.

Outside of practice, John relishes time in the mountains skiing, hiking, and camping, playing golf, homebrewing, and spending quality time with his wife, baby girl, friends, and family.
