Jonathan Robert Buchanan

Jon Buchanan is a native Texan whose dedication to service and leadership was forged during his multiple deployments to overseas combat zones as a U.S. Marine Corps infantryman.

Following his military service, Mr. Buchanan pursued an extensive education, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Southwestern University, followed by a Juris Doctor (with a concentration in Business Law) and Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University.

Mr. Buchanan began his legal career under the mentorship of a prominent West Texas personal injury attorney. Driven to master courtroom advocacy, he then became an Assistant Criminal District Attorney, where he managed high-volume caseloads, litigated dispositive motions, and served as first- and second-chair trial counsel in multiple jury trials, holding criminals accountable for their actions.

His frontline trial experience fueled a lifelong commitment to fighting for the vulnerable and standing for what is right, which he now channels into advocating for victims of civil wrongdoing as a personal injury attorney at The Barber Law Firm. Mr. Buchanan stands ready to take on the insurance companies and lawyers that attempt to steamroll victims of negligence.
