Very unorganized, unprofessional, had no good personal. Payed the woman her fee upfront. Did not mention we had court until the next day. Did not coach me. Did not remember my name when we went to court. Did not want to counter sue. One of the worse defense family defense attorney. She does better ...on criminal defense.

I retained Vaavia Edwards for the custody of my daughter. When we went to court, she forgot to file my income. We were forced to wait for a new date. The second time we went to court, she again did not have my income information. The judge was angry at me for not being prepared. The other attorney ha...d disobeyed the judge and had not brought my daughter to court as ordered. I believe that we would have had an advantage. I had to wait again, and was later assigned to a brand new judge for my case. Vaavia did little to prepare me for the courtroom. After we lost the first hearing with the new lawyer, I tried for several weeks to get Vaavia to respond to my phone calls. eventually, I dismissed her and had to pay another lawyer to finish her job.

I had contacted Ms. Edwards on a custody, divorce. I was well informed on what to expect. Any time you put your fate, and childrens fate in anothers hands it is scary. I was kept well informed so I could make decisions. She was always prompt and courteous with my calls and questions of which I ha...d many. Hope to never see her again, but would use her in a heart beat if needed. She helped me get my life and family in order and custody of my children all in a very timely order.
