My husband’s case was pretty straight forward, so we filed on our own only to find out we had misinterpreted the law and he in fact committed visa fraud. Long story short, we were granted the opportunity to file for an extreme hardship waiver. When we received the official notice we were given 30 day...s to file, so we felt it would be best to find a lawyer. After reading reviews, I decided to consult Shilpa. During the consult, she told us that this was an unusually short period of time to file, and most people are given at least 90 days. Shilpa put in a lot of long hard hours helping us to compile 3 affidavits (one of which was 14 pages long), a statement, medical records, and her argument in 2 weeks from the date of our consultation. She told us to not expect an answer for around a year, but that we may hear back a bit sooner. Surprisingly, we were notified by USCIS less than a month later that they had approved the waiver.
