Jeffrey Alan Hill

I called Jeff after the local sheriffs department invited me to "come in and answer a few questions". Prior to going in, I told Jeff exactly what had happened on the evening in question. Admittedly, a couple of my actions would easily be considered and charged as criminal behavior without any proof, ...other than my word against his. Jeff listened to my story and gave me solid advice on how to proceed with answering the deputy's questions. After visiting with the officer on the case, I found out that they were pursuing 3 felony charges against me. I followed Jeff's advice, telling the cops the same story that I had told him. It helped my case greatly that my accuser embellished his side of the story quite a bit, and I was able to provide proof of his lies via text messages between myself and my accuser. Of course I was tempted to not be fully honest in telling my story, I was also tempted to dispose of a piece of evidence that could incriminate me. I presented my concerns to Jeff, and he encouraged me to tell the truth and not corrupt my case by turning misdemeanor charges into felony charges by disposing of evidence. The felony charges were dropped, and the lesser misdemeanor charges have not been pursued by the sheriffs office, if they are, I will be giving Jeff a call. I realize that not all situations work out as ideally as mine did, with only a phone consultation from a lawyer. After one hour talking to Jeff, I had enough faith in his ability to represent me and do the best he could in the situation that I had gotten myself into. Having never been in legal trouble before, I didn't know what could or would happen, but Jeff talked me through how it would work if arrested, how to bond out, etc. Thank you Jeff !!

Jeff was appointed to me when I found myself in jail. Jeff made sure we were constantly in contact and did everything in his power to help make sure I wouldn’t face any serious legal troubles. I was arrested because I refused to blow when pulled over for my tags being expired. I was offered several plea bargains but I refused. I insisted on a trial by jury. Jeff always presented the offers from the DA but never once tried to encourage me to change my mind. He stood by my decision to go... to court. 16 months later the DA has dropped the charges.
