Awful!

Hilary is an awful representation of a lawyer! I have called her every day for a week. Never got a response back or an e-mail back. She insisted that my dad take probation even though we had proof he was innocent. It has been months since we’ve heard anything from her. Once we got a good contact num...ber. I texted her and her responses were unprofessional and rude. This was one of her responses “I can’t MAKE the DA do anything. I am done talking to YOU about this case. I’m a 30 year board certified criminal law specialist. I think I know what I’m doing. I realise you have similar credentials and know more. If your father would like to discuss his case with me (his attorney, not his layperson daughter) I am happy to do so”. I have no idea what she ment by my having the same credentials as her. I don’t think she even knows what she’s talking about. She also lied to my dad saying she had spoke to me and she never did after I had been trying to call her for a week straight. From experience she is a lazy lawyer who does not care about her clients and is only there for the easy money. If you get her, fire her immediately!! You might actually have a good chance if you do!

Court appointed appellate

Hillary was hired by the Randall County court to represent my husband to the fullest of her extent in his appeal. She has only visited my husband once while he was at Randall County and has never visited nor contacted my husband in prison. She refuses to communicate with me, KNOWING that I am part of... the case. She has spoken with my husband once. She is supposed to represent my husband in the Court of Appeals and has failed to push for the retrial my husband's defense attorney requested. My husband and I have NO idea where the status of our retrial is and we have no word on the appeal either.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
