My husband & I will forever be thankful for Leo, it was one rough ride but leo made it so less stressful than what it was. When getting off the first appt with Leo, my sister in law & I knew we had to stick to him. What caught our attention was his honesty, he gave us the pros & cons to our situation. When things would go down he was always full of energy & ready to jump into the next strategy, which gave me hope of one day having my husband back home. After 8 long months & 7 months of working with leo he was finally back home with a granted legal status! Even when having a busy schedule he was one call away answering every each and one of our questions, fears and so on. Now that we are going into a new year, I wish Leo much success. I was born in the small Texas border town of Rio Grande City and am the first in my family to attend college. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and earned my law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law. While in law school, I served as a law clerk for the immigration firm Whittenburg, Strange & Walker, P.C., and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Micaela Alvarez of the Southern District of Texas. In 2015, I was named a "Who’s Who Among American College and University Students Award" recipient.

Now, residing in Austin, TX, I regularly participate in community service events such as citizenship drives and informational sessions. I am bilingual in Spanish and English and a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). In my free time, I enjoy relaxing with my wife and 5-year old Border Collie, Al. I also actively train in boxing, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).

Highly recommend!

I worked with Leo on my green card renewal process and was very satisfied with the service. Right off the bat, I was able to tell Leo cares about his clients and wants to provide the best service possible. He was also very knowledgeable and was able to answer all the questions I had. Knows what he is doing.

Awesome Immigration Attorney

Leo helped with my naturalization application and he was very helpful and guided me through the whole process. He's friendly and responsive and will give you the one on one time that you won't get at a large firm where you're just another client. I highly recommend the De La Garza Law firm.

Nothing like the stereotype.

Mr. De La Garza changed my view of attorneys. When my wife and I were planning of going through the immigration process, I knew I needed a lawyer, but was not excited about it because I viewed lawyers as old, grumpy people, who just want to get paid. Mr. De La Garza was the opposite. He was nice, friendly, and made the process as easy and painless as possible. My wife got her green card and he is so invested in his clients that I think he celebrated more than we did. That is the kind of lawyer you get with him. One who cares about your dreams, and will do whatever it takes to make them come true.

Amazing Lawyer

We have never had to deal with immigration before until I got married to my husband. He was unfortunately picked up by ice and detained. We got in touch with Leo De La Garza and it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Leo is amazing, he not only treated my family like real people and not just a paycheck but he helped with every step of the way. Great experience all around.
