I have helped people who were injured for the first 12 yrs of my career as a RN,MSN, and clinical nurse specialists both in hospitals and in the academic setting (instructor at UT). After my husband and I adopted our first of 3 adopted children, I began my next near 20 yrs practicing in law, primarily focusing on medical negligence as my specialty. I have represented successfully many birth injured children and their families. Prior to practicing law, I practiced 12 years as a nurse, including NICU, PICU, OB/GYN. I am currently an attorney, registered nurse, masters of nursing, clinical nurse practitioner, with specialties including neonatology and pediatrics. I also have brain injured child my husband and I adopted from a Russian orphanage, which has provided me with many opportunities to help others with similiar children.

I helped the brain injury when I worked 12 years in nursing as an instructor at UT schools of nursing, clinical hospital ICU nurse at hospitals in San Antonio, Dallas, and Austin, and has a supervisor of a home health care agency over 700 nurses caring for the brain injured in home settings. My husband and I adoped a child from a Russian orphanage with brain damage in 2000, so I have personnel experience with PT,OT,ST, neurologists, and other health care professionals that assist these people.
