He Pointed Me in the Right Direction — Even When There Was Nothing in It for Him

I consulted Lance Kennedy on an emerging federal Fair Credit Reporting Act matter involving unauthorized credit reporting enrollment and fabricated payment history on my consumer credit file. The situation was complex, involving multiple credit bureaus, a third party furnisher, and potential willful ...violations under 15 USC 1681. Lance assessed the situation quickly providing direct and candid advice despite the fact that FCRA cases are outside his practice area. He took the time to research the matter and pointed me toward resources that led me to an attorney who specializes in FCRA litigation. His background as a former federal prosecutor is evident in how he thinks about evidence and legal exposure. But what impressed me most was his willingness to point me in the right direction after knowing I was not a client with a case for him.
