About Kenneth

Biography

Expungement eligibility is not the same in every Texas county. I read the original disposition first and tell you which remedy is actually available, an expungement or a nondisclosure, before anything gets filed.

I handle the full criminal docket in Travis, Williamson and the surrounding Central Texas counties: DWI, drug charges, family violence, sex offenses and white collar matters. When a case ends in a way that allows it, I handle the expungement or nondisclosure myself.

A DWI arrest starts two cases, not one: the criminal charge and the license suspension. The license case has its own deadline that runs whether or not you have hired anyone yet. I handle both, and the record question afterward.

An affirmative finding of family violence is not something you can clear from your record later. It attaches to the disposition itself, which is why the outcome you agree to today decides what your record looks like for good.

Whether a drug case can be cleared later depends entirely on how it ends now. A dismissal, a diversion and a deferred adjudication produce three different records, and I plan for that from the first setting.

Registration consequences are decided by the offense of conviction, not by the sentence. Before any plea discussion I want to know exactly what each option would require of you for the rest of your life.

I read the financial records before I read the indictment. A business degree and years spent on how Texas statutes get written are useful in cases built on documents, intent, and the difference between a bad decision and a crime.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
