John Michael began his career in The Texas Senate as General Counsel to Sen. Judith Zaffirini (Texas's second highest-ranking senator) and the Texas Higher Education Committee. Shortly thereafter, he was instrumental in the creation of a single-family office that structured and manages a portfolio of investments across energy, technology, risk management, banking, and alternative finance platforms––before transitioning his focus to entertainment and business advising in various areas alongside executive oversight of his music and film related interests.
John Michael received his BBA in Finance from The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and his Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech University School of Law, where he was a Regents Scholarship Recipient and graduated among the top of his class.
