Biography
Everett has always been very active in the community and his profession through various organizations. He has served as President of the Jefferson County Young Lawyers Association, Board of Director for the Jefferson County Bar Association, Chairman of the American Simmental Association’s Simbrah Advisory Committee, President of the Simbrah Sensation, Board of Director for the Beaumont Elderly & Handicapped Housing Association. He has recently retired from the Nederland Independent School Board after serving 13 years as a board member.
Over the years Everett has served the First United Methodist Church of Nederland in various capacities, including Chairman of the church Council. He is an avid team roper.
Everett joined Shaw Cowart LLP in 1986 and has been with the firm since that time. He has taken to trial hundreds of cases in both state and federal courts. Everett has handled and tried personal injury lawsuits as well as commercial litigation.
