Poor Mediator (and I came out on top)

I was told he was sympathic towards women prior to going into the mediation. That was an understatement. I had to repeatedly prove with documentation my side of the case and that the other side was lying. Time and again, he would come back to me with more lies and no documentation or other evidenc...e to back up the other sides story. I would again have to dig out more documents to refute the lies and prove I was telling the truth. At one point I went to show him a document to prove my point and he recoiled and stated he didn't want to see it. I have been involved in other legal matters with mediators, who were much more skilled, objective and fair. I came out exceedingly well, but had he looked at the facts and not the "please have pity on poor me" story of the other side, it would have taken half the time.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
