Honest, Dependable, Quick, Knowledgeable

I hired James Minerve to prepare a TRO quickly. He and his staff performed quickly and effectively; in addition, they provided STELLAR SERVICE all around!

Zero stars

Worst attorney ever, he won’t help you for nothing, won’t remember you after you sent over payment. Won’t respond , will be filling a bar complaint on him and suing him for damages.. DO NOT HIRE HIM… he works for investors so he can help them instead of you FYI dnt hire him do not spend your money on... a worthless fraud lawyer

Dropped the ball

I contacted this attorney in March. We discussed the case and he said it should be no problem. He would write a letter on my behalf and it should be taken care of with one letter. He sent a letter of engagement to me and a paypal invoice. I paid the invoice the same day and faxed and sent by U.S.... mail a signed engagement letter. I have receipt of the Paypal invoice. Long story short, after 5 months of not hearing from anyone I assumed that it had been taken care of. This month I received a letter from a law firm suing me and costs of an additional $600 dollars. I called James MInerve and he couldn't find where I paid the invoice. I provided proof to him and he found it. He had not done a thing on this case. Meanwhile, he SAYS that he called them by phone recently and they were unwilling to do any reduction on settlement since it has gone this far. I asked if he felt there were damages from him dropping the ball. Of course he said no. He told me it was because he usually charges $250 dollars to write the letter. EVEN though , the invoice he sent me was for $205 dollars, which was paid in full. DO NOT Trust him to act on your best interest. You can follow my blogs about him and I have already filed complaint with the Attorney General. I will proceed with damages against him until I run out of options.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
