For nearly two decades, I've represented injured people across Texas and the Rio Grande Valley — and I've built my practice on a simple belief: the people who need a lawyer most are often the ones least sure they're allowed to ask for one.
I'm Fernando Javier Lopez, founder of Lopez Law Group in Weslaco, Texas. I focus my practice on personal injury — car and truck accidents, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death — standing between injured families and the insurance companies that count on claimants not knowing their rights.
I've been licensed to practice law since 2007 and am admitted in Texas, the District of Columbia, Kansas, New Mexico, and Missouri, which allows me to help clients whose cases cross state lines. I'm a graduate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law and hold dual U.S.–Mexico citizenship.
I handle every case in both English and Spanish, because no one should have to navigate the legal system in a language they don't fully understand.
