Edmundo Leandro III

Edmundo “Eddie” Leandro, III was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, where he graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1999 before pursuing higher education at Texas State University, earning his degree in political science in 2004. Following his undergraduate studies, Edmundo dedicated seven years to public service, working from 2005 to 2012 as an Area Supervisor for the Child Nutrition Department with the Brownsville Independent School District. In 2012, he pursued his legal career at St. Mary’s University School of Law, graduating in 2015, and immediately began practicing as a Clerk and then Assistant District Attorney for the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office from August 2015 through the spring of 2016.

When Edmundo joined Lawler & Associates in spring 2016, he built an exceptional foundation in insurance defense work, advocating for thousands of civil defendants and consistently managing a docket of over 100 cases spanning from motor vehicle and trucking accidents, to premises liability, storm damage claims, construction defect, and medical malpractice. This extensive defense experience has given him unparalleled insight into how insurance companies evaluate claims, develop defense strategies, and make settlement decisions. Having defended cases from the insurance perspective, Edmundo understands exactly what red flags adjusters look for, how defense experts build their arguments, and what evidence truly moves the needle in negotiations.
