DO NOT HIRE This Attorney

Since I never met this attorney in person, I can only assume this is the correct attorney that was assigned to me by the Alex R. Hernandez, Jr. Law Firm since there are no other attorneys named John Lamerson listed in Avvo currently working in San Antonio, TX. First, if you need real estate assistan...ce, DO NOT use the Alex R. Hernandez, Jr. Law Firm since customer service or prompt communication is not their first priority AFTER you hire them. They were very prompt to call me back when trying to get my business but once I signed the paperwork to hire them for help with real estate issues, they never asked to meet me in person to discuss my situation in detail. Mr. Lamerson was always in a car when I spoke to him for only a few minutes and seemed like he was in a rush during our very short conversations so I never felt comfortable he was giving me 100% in representing me. All my interaction with this attorney regarding my case was either by email or phone calls which I had to initiate in order to get a status of my case. I was prompt in sending him whatever information he needed but he was never prompt to respond to any of my emails or call me back after I left a message with his office. He never sent me the documents he promised regarding my case and eventually told me after several months that he did not get any responses from the banks and he was overwhelmed with work and needed to have my case assigned to another attorney. Forget the fact, that his firm charged me almost $1,000 for very minimal work. It was clear I was not a priority. I read a previous review regarding Mr. Lamerson regarding how he did tell his client he moved from Corpus Christi to San Antonio. That about sums up the experience you will get if you hire or are assigned this attorney. I rarely write a formal review about anything or anyone but I cannot stand by when attorneys think they can take advantage of people by promising them help, collecting their money, but not delivering on their promise to fight for their clients and show some level of customer service. Absolutely terrible experience!

Excellent

Mr. Lamerson was very helpful in assisting me in recovering money owed to me from a rental agreement. I found him to be very professional, responding to every email and phone call within hours, sometimes minutes. I highly recommend this attorney.

Very Disappointed

I hired Mr Lamerson for a civil matter. I live out of state so we discuss my options and agreed on a price. He did not do what he said, instead he made excuses which ultimately made my situation worse. He moved from Corpus Christi to San Antonio without notifying me. Very poor job performance!

Highly Discouraged

I was very hopeful after speaking to this attorney, he was very reassuring and helpful as far as answering questions. However come court he failed to appear and when I contacted him he failed to answer the phone and has yet to return any of my phone calls. My husband is facing a substantial amount of ...time and being completely ignored by someone who holds your life and freedom in their hands is completely overwhelming and frustrating. Then I find out that his specialty is juvenile law. So my question is does he even know how to properly assist in adequate representation in an adult criminal court proceedings. I hope if you choose to hire this man that you realize what you have gotten yourself into and that he does a better job for you
