Attorney
Since 1986, I have represented plaintiffs and defendants in Texas state and federal courts in civil litigation and appeals in a variety of legal areas, including will contests, and trust and fiduciary litigation. Over the years, my practice has concentrated on probate matters,including contested matters, and estate planning. The lessons I have learned handling lawsuits over wills and trusts are an impotant part of the estate planning advice I provide.

It is no secret that lawsuits are expensive. Most people can understand the risks and costs of losing a lawsuit, but not as many can fully appreciate the costs and risks of winning. Every party to a lawsuit must give up time, money, stress, uncertainty, and privacy. If you win, sometimes you can recover the financial costs, but some of the other costs you can never get back. Through the mediation process, I place a strong emphasis on helping parties assess and understand the risks and the monetary and non-monetary costs of letting the court system resolve their disputes. When there is more than money at stake, I can help you or your clients identify and address the intellectual and emotional barriers to settlement. After trying cases and handling appeals for more than 25 years, I also can provide insight into the ways that judges and juries affect the dynamics of litigation.
