Katarina Araceli Hernandez

Katarina Hernández McVea represents clients in a wide range of personal injury matters. With a strong litigation background and a passion for client advocacy, Katarina combines legal skill with a deep commitment to empowering her clients through every step of the legal process.

Before joining Thomas J. Henry Law, Katarina practiced criminal and family law with a focus on domestic violence. She worked closely with survivors of sexual violence, helping them navigate complex family legal matters such as divorces, protective orders, and child custody arrangements. This experience sharpened her skills in client communication, negotiation, and high-stakes legal representation.

Since joining the firm, Katarina has played a key role in filing lawsuits, negotiating settlements, and consistently delivering strong outcomes for her clients—including securing a settlement of over half a million dollars. She brings an aggressive, solutions-oriented approach to her work and is known for being a tireless advocate who doesn’t back down from a challenge.

Katarina was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and earned her law degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.

As a proud Latina attorney, Katarina is driven by a desire to ensure members of the Latinx community have access to the legal representation and education they need. She dedicates time to making sure her clients understand their rights and the legal process, believing that knowledge is a key part of achieving justice.

Outside of work, Katarina enjoys baking and running half marathons with her husband, John. She is also a proud new mom, and cherishes time spent reading and playing with her daughter.
