Michael Maurice Novak

I'm a San Antonio native and a former partner at Valdez & Trevino, also located in San Antonio and practice Plaintiff's law. I focus my practice on helping individuals obtain the recovery they need to help them rebuild their lives after a catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death of a loved one, trucking accident, or any other serious injury caused by someone else's negligence. Previously I worked as a transactional attorney at Jackson Walker. I then quickly shifted my focus to litigation defense. I worked for ten years with Valdez & Trevino where I rose from an associate to an equity partner. My prior work as a litigation defense attorney now informs my work as a Plaintiff's attorney. I understand how insurers and defense attorneys think and operate, which allows me to more effectively advocate on behalf of the Plaintiff's I represent. Prior to starting my career in law, I taught ninth grade English in Alice, Texas, as well as a variety of liberal arts courses as a Graduate Part Time Instructor for the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Texas Tech University while working on my MFA. I have also worked in the construction and service industries in jobs that range from cellular tower construction to restaurant and theatre management. When I'm not working, I love spending time with my wife, daughter, and family. We enjoy our time together by cooking, exploring the outdoors, fishing, and sometimes just watching a good movie. If you see me out and about alone, you'll also always see me with a book in hand because I am an avid reader.
