I was born and raised in San Benito, Texas. I attended St. Edward's University where I earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology in 1996. I then attended St. Mary's University School of Law where I was a member of The Scholar - St. Mary's Law Review on Minority Issues. In 2001, I earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from St. Mary's University School of Law. My Legal background includes handling workers' compensation cases, medical negligence cases, child support and family law matters. I am a member of the San Antonio Bar Association and the Bexar County Women's Bar Association.
