Wimpy Attorney

Used him for a divorce and the other attorney at this wimp alive. I lost everything, kids and possessions. Terrible attorney. Took all my money and left me screwed over. I would of had the same results if I defended myself.

Poor Representation

I paid $5,000 in 2010 for his assistance in a divorce. He went to one court appearance and collected the fee. My wife received a settlement that gave her half of my retirement. The QDRO did not go in place until December even though we divorced in July. I just received an $8,000 bill from the IRS as ...I claimed the payments that I made to my exwife from July to December. The IRS stated that it should have been put in the divorce decree that she was collecting alimony until the QDRO went in to effect. Her lawyer was very sharp and really took advantage of my lousy representation. I paid $15,000 to close on our house because he was smart enough to know that the market went down and gave me the sole responsibility for the house. Her lawyer just absolutely killed me in every facet of the divorce. I received absolutely no guidance from this lawyer throughout the proceeds. Stay away from this lawyer and Jan Perry Law Offices. It has taken me two years to figure out exactly how bad my representation was during the divorce.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
