I hired Paula Perez to handle my divorce and unfortunately the experience was extremely frustrating. Communication was a problem — emails and questions often went unanswered, That made me feel like I couldn’t even check on the progress of my own case without being charged extra. I also gave very... clear instructions, like wanting to see draft documents and trial questions ahead of time. Those requests were ignored or delayed, which left me unprepared at critical moments. On top of that, the billing never felt consistent. I was hit with charges months after the work was supposedly done, charged twice for trial prep, and even billed for interactions that didn’t seem necessary. The biggest issue, though, was mistakes in handling my case. A court order about the sale of my home was drafted with a major oversight, and that mistake ended up costing me a lot financially. Combined with delays and missed deadlines, the whole process dragged on far longer than it should have. There were moments where the work seemed fine, but overall the representation left me disappointed, out a significant amount of money, and with a result that should have been handled much better. I wouldn’t recommend this firm based on my experience.
