Jake grew up on a small farm in Rio Medina, Texas, West of San Antonio, which gave him the opportunity to learn the values of hard work and to see physical results of this work through raising crops and livestock. This allowed Jake to learn the responsibilities needed to ensure diligent work and time were spent to bring about the best possible results, which has translated well into his practice of law and representation of his clients.

Jake has extensive experience representing Texas property owners regarding large catastrophic storm damage losses, including municipalities, condominium associations, hotels across Texas, and apartment complexes. Jake’s law practice is primarily focused on representing property owners who need help recovering the necessary funding to repair their properties. He helps them navigate the obstacle course many insurance companies force their customers to navigate in order to try and recover the insurance benefits they are entitled to after paying their premiums for years. Jake has handled thousands of insurance claim disputes involving homes, municipalities, condominium complexes, apartments, hotels, shopping centers, industrial complexes, etc. Jake has litigated cases in Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico and has focused on educating our clients about the complicated process of insurance coverage disputes so they can make informed decisions. Jake has benefited his clients by making them aware they have the right to counsel just as the big insurance companies have numerous attorneys working behind the scenes in concert to ensure the insurance company comes out ahead of their insured. The underpayment of insurance claims is prevalent in Texas and across the nation, and Jake strives to ensure his clients receive every dollar they are entitled to under their insurance policies.

​Jake has 10 years of experience representing individuals, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies. He started his legal career in 2012 joining a firm in San Antonio, Texas, where he immediately went to work representing property owners across Texas in their struggle to recover monies to repair their properties from storm damage. Jake’s drive and dedication to his client’s has been unwavering due to his focus on policy holders’ most important investment – their homes and businesses. Jake has gained experience in all phases of the litigation process from evaluating cases to ultimately trying those cases to a jury.
