If you are a vulnerable woman or have a vulnerable child, especially in a high‑risk domestic violence situation, please do not hire Sara Casas. In my case and my daughter’s case, she didn’t just use a template, she used a sloppy template on our lives. My new attorney has already confirmed that what s...he filed was ‘highly inexperienced’ copy‑paste work that actually weakened my position in court and risked my child’s safety. Everything she claimed wasn’t possible in my case, my new competent counsel has made possible, despite being thrown in mid-case, and having so much cleanup to do. While repeating that I wouldn’t be able to keep my daughter safe; I would just have to wait for my daughter to come home with bruises before anyone would believe us. She seems completely oblivious to the risk she puts women and children in while billing them. She minimized coercive control and non‑physical abuse, treated my daughter’s case like a routine custody dispute, and tried to lock me into ‘temporary’ orders that were almost guaranteed to become permanent. When I raised concerns, she became defensive instead of correcting course. Another recent review here describes her taking a $5,000 retainer, doing almost nothing, and then withdrawing – that lines up with my experience of over-billing and underperforming while my case stalled. You only get one chance to protect your child on the record. Scrape up every dime you can find for someone else, because this will not protect your child or you. It wouldn’t let me enter zero stars; even one star is a stretch here.

Sara Casas is horrible! She has no backbone and will not work on your behalf. She will take your money and withdrawal from your case as your divorce is only getting started and then try to charge you more with a bogus invoice that she tries to justify so she keeps your 5,000 dollar retainer . You wo...uld by far stand a better chance representing yourself than hiring her .

Sara is GREAT! She explains the subject of my case to me in such a manner I can understand all that is going on and she allows me to explain my point of view and give suggestions. She doesn't boss me but allows me to give informed opinions so we can make decisions together--she listens! Hate tha...t I need a lawyer but I am so glad I have Sara!
