I have an extensive record in immigration deportation defense with successes in defending clients from deportation due to criminal convictions.  I focus my expertise in successfully ensuring that a client's immigration status is protected, in particular, when a client has a criminal record. 

I have also successfully adjudicated difficult asylum, withholding and CAT claims. In particular, I have had success with claims originating Mexico and Central American countries. 

I also perform family based immigration with some emphasis on consular process and adjustment of status which require waivers due to criminal history or prior removals.

I focus my criminal defense practice on immigrants and undocument clients who stand to loose their current or potential immigration status due to a pending criminal conviction. I have succeeded in negotiating and defending criminal cases with the goal of protecting my client's immigration status. 

I have an extensive knowledge of state and federal habeas corpus law and have successfully used habeas corpus proceedings to protect clients from deportation.
