Mark Charles Thompson

I was referred to Mark by a friend who recently went through a divorce in which Mark was the opposing lawyer. His experience through the divorce process was that Mark was far my informative and knowledgeable with his ex-spouse than what he received. I contacted Mark about handling my divorce case, that was to be filed in Comal County. Even though his office is in San Antonio, he made the commute to represent me. Not only did he help me through a very difficult time, by being a voice of reason, but he handled my case with the best professionalism... that I have seen in the court systems. Mark is very knowledgeable, will not mislead you on possible outcomes, and will defend your case with all aspects of the law. He requires a retainer fee, although this is standard, he will return any unused portion that is left over, when other lawyers will keep it, or create "bonus" phone calls or paperwork to burn the remainder. I am sure that I will hire Mark again, and I have already recommended him to several people already.

He did wonderful for my kids and I. He was very dedicated to making sure that my kids and I would be taken care of after 11 years of marriage. He knew exactly what the state regulations were and he fought to get us everything we were entitled to. He drew up the papers and then we (my ex and myself...) were able to sign and settle out of court. He let me know exactly what the steps were, as far as getting a divorce in the state of Texas, and told me what to expect each step. I was pleased with the outcome. I have already referred other friends who are going through separation.

Mark Thompson is friendly and fair, two characteristics that are in direct contrast to the lawyer stereotype. In my case, he was easy to deal with, highly knowledgeable, honest, and seemed to generally care about me as his client, instead of just working for the money. Even though he made it clear that he was my representative, he treated her with respect and fairness, which was something I wanted when I sought legal representation. He suggested a proper course of action when necessary and guided both of us through the divorce process. He eliminated much of the pain and anguish I have seen my friends go through during their divorce proceedings. I feel that anyone who does not sign on with Mark is making a mistake.
