I can't express enough how satisfied I am with Ms. Bertha's service and professionalism. My husband had court on a Monday, October 17, 2018. We hired her on Friday the 14th, just 3 days before the court date and on a weekend. She acted fast and showed us all the paper work being submitted. We kept co...nstant communication throughout the weekend. Ms. Zuñiga visit my husband as well on 2 occasions to inform him of everything being done. We are so thankful for her because we had previously hired another attorney for about a month and wasn't able to do nothing for my husband. Not to mention he didn't appeared to court or showed us how he was fighting. I definitely do recommend Ms. Zuñiga's services. She's incredibly dedicated to her job!

We had the great pleasure of hiring Ms.Zuñiga after my brother heard from other detainees and guards at the South Texas Detention Center that she was the BEST lawyer to represent anyone and that she will always win her cases. We originally had hired a younger attorney that promised it would be fa...irly easy to get a bond for my brother’s case. The younger lawyer, as it turned out be, had no experience in complicated cases and on my brother’s bond hearing, the judge denied his bond. At this point he had been detained for almost 2 months- His case was definitely complicated- He had 2 DWIs pending at that time and illegally overstated in the country, plus he had already being denied a bond. When we first hired Ms. Zúñiga, we knew right away that there was no comparison with the previous lawyer- Ms. Zúñiga’s personality, attention to detail and complete devotion and involvement to the case was obvious from day one - not to mention her outstanding credentials. She asked of every single piece of paperwork and information that would help fight his case once again. She will think outside of the box and be creative to aggressively fight your case to the end- She even thought of getting copies of my brother’s Uber receipts and tremendous amount of money spent on Uber to prove that his second DWI was a simple bad decision to drive on the day he was detained and not a common thing to do. Ms. Zúñiga put a packet together to defend my brother on his last opportunity when he was granted a bond hearing- We knew it was going to be tough and she had mentioned that - she never ever said it would be easy but that she will fight til the end to get him out. And sure enough, her devotion to the case and her huge talent of being creative and knowing what to say and how to lead with your case finally granted him a bond! She was once and for many years on the other side as an Immigration Judge, so trust me she knows exactly what moves the needle and how to defend your loved one. As family to a person being detained, you are in the hands of your attorney and you put all your faith that she will do the best to get your loved one out of detention. Ms. Zúñiga will answer to EVERY single email at any time, ANY DAY. Even when we visited my brother at the detention center, you will always see her there even on weekends! -that’s how devoted she is! Her work ethic and compassion to the case she’s fighting for is admirable. She WILL PUT HER WHOLE HEART and experience into your case to make sure you are reunited with your family. We have no words that could ever express how grateful we are for all that she did for our family. It is truly a nightmare to be in a situation like this- I promise. But she will always see the light at the end of the tunnel and represent your loved one like no one else would.

Bertha is the BEST immigration lawyer I've ever met. During the period I was detained (about 13 months and a half) my family consulted several lawyers and some of them didn't want to take my case, others said that my best option, was to get voluntary departure and fight my case in Mexico, and one o...f them took my case and did NOTHING!!! We wasted time (five months) and money on a lawyer that literally did NOTHING, yet he promised to get me out. My family then hired Bertha, and since the first time I talked to her, she talked with such confidence (something I had never seen or heard from any other lawyer) that I knew she would help me win my case. My husband and family later told me that when they went to see her, they realized she was the right lawyer for my case. The best thing my family did during the time I was detained, was hire her!!
