Sralla took my money and did nothing

Hired sralla with a $5k cash retainer for my divorce. How much work did he do? Only filed my divorce petition. Never answered my calls or emails. Then he assigned another attorney to my case. Complete waste of time. Go elsewhere. Stay away from sralla and his office. He'll have you talk a...nd talk while running the meter on your retainer all the while pretending to care about you, but it's only your money he cares about.

Do not hire in any capacity.

Kevin Sralla had my case lost before it even began. He is not knowledgeable in family law , he isn’t even aware that in custody, a client has an option to choose a jury trial instead of a bench trial in Texas. Allowed opposing attorney to set up everything on a timeline that wasn’t even feasible ,... the other attorney saw how little he knew about family law and took full advantage from the start. My new attorney has undone most of the mistakes that were made by Kevin and we still have a chance in this case. Had I kept Kevin as my attorney , this matter would of been over with 6 months ago and me and my children would of been in a much worse situation than when we began. At the initial consultation, I let him know we were dealing with a very high conflict individual and I needed the best. Instead of admitting this was something way beyond his ability and referring me on , he just happily took my retainer and still has it , 10 months after I hired him. I have never received a final bill or refund. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.

I am sorry to hear about your concerns and I do appreciate your feedback. I am not accustomed to receiving this type of complaint from my clients. See my many positive reviews. However, I value your opinion and I always strive to govern myself professionally and be a strong, fierce advocate for my clients in the courtroom and legal system. Over the course of my 19 years as a lawyer, I have put my knowledge of the law and effective strategies to use on countless occasions for my client’s benefit. My goal is total satisfaction from my client base. Thus, I will keep your feedback in mind as I move forward with my practice. Moreover, I would be willing to have a professional discussion with you offline about how I can make things right. Please feel free to reach out to me. I wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors.

Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

After a series of disappointing representation by other Bexar County family law attorneys, it turns out that Buck is no different. He has one person on his staff and has no problem billing his client's for anything he does, and he does it all. I had to fire him after receiving bloated and inappropri...ate invoices. On my last statement EVERY single phone call was overbilled between us. Since I was able to prove via my phone bill how many calls and how long, he refunded me. While I received $1,600 back, I didn't receive a refund on anything I couldn't prove. I guarantee he took me for thousands.... An example of inflating his bills: If Buck drops off a document instead of using a courier, he bills $200/hour for that (a courier would've cost $20). For "research" he bills 2 to 3 hours yet he is unable to produce the research saying he left it with the Judge and he refuses to show a print out from Lexis/Nexis (legal research engine). When pressed, Buck stated that I got him for a discount (his standard rate of $200 is apparently a "discount") and this I believe is where he feels justified in overbilling here and there. He also stated that if it takes him 9 hours of reviewing, researching, drafting, etc. for a 4 page brief on conservatorship then it doesn't matter that that is waaaay more time than another attorney of 18 years experience should take. Understand conservatorship is a standard/common family law issue for an attorney with this many years experience. Buck takes his time b/c he knows he can bill his clients and there's nothing we can do about it. If you want an ethical, honest, efficient (I didn't even go into all the times I had to follow up and remind him to do things) keep looking, Buck will ultimately take your money till there's none left.

Extremely Disappointed

What should have been a simple quick divorce turned out to be 2 1/2 yrs long! I hired him Jan.2014 & paid in full. My spouse was incarcerated with a life sentence. Simple divorce! He didn't file til March 2014. We went to court Aug.2014 & the judge signs and says congratulations you are divorced. En...d of July 2016 we get a notice in the mail that we have court for dismissal in September. Apparently no one filed my signed divorce decree and for the last 2 years I have actually been married! It took another 2 weeks to file my decree and get my divorce final. If it wasn't for action on my part and his assistant I would probably still be married. I never spoke to him after that first call about the dismissal notice. I called and emailed & he never returned my call. Thank goodness for his assistant Talia.
