I couldn't see the light to the other side when struggling with how to continue as I had been in long and drawn-out divorce and custody situation. I no longer had the initial lawyer on my case. There was a lot that had already been done yet i felt like a stranger in my own case. I had so many questio...ns that were never answered. I was never educated or informed and felt as if I wasn't being listened to. Having a hard time knowing I would need a lawyer to continue with mycase as I had lost any trust within the law the system and especially lawyers. A lot of money out and several hearings with no end. What is most likely the most difficult time in life as it was for me. You know what’s hard to find? An attorney in San Antonio who has experience with same-sex couple’s divorces (and dog custody battles), and doesn’t require your entire life savings plus a kidney as a retainer. Heather did an amazing job of getting me exactly what I wanted, and kept me from losing my m...arbles throughout the process. She and Kate did a great job of always keeping me informed of what was going on through my acrimonious divorce, and handled even the most ridiculous situations (I mean... it was a wiener dog custody battle after all) with professionalism and grace. Heather (lawyer) and Kate (paralegal) did an outstanding job of representing my side of a custody case. Because of them, I could not have been more prepared legally or emotionally. They answered all my questions (there were many), they prepared me for the ins/outs of court, they listened to ALL of ...my requests and put it into the contract. Heather is more reserved, it's like she is always thinking about how she is going to execute the next move. When you finally see/hear her thought process, she is brilliant. Kate is more forward with her knowledge. She has a powerful presence and did a great job of understanding how to handle my concerns. From the beginning of it all I wanted a strong legal team that was going to set up a fair custody contract for my daughter.
