My name is George P. “Trace” Morrill III and I practice law in Beeville, Texas. I graduated cum laude from South Texas College of Law in May 2005. While in law school, I was honored to serve as the editor-in-chief of the South Texas Law Review. I was also inducted into the Order of the Lytae, initiated into Phi Delta Phi, and awarded the Lindsay Haid Memorial Award in recognition of individual leadership, an appreciation for life and promising legal ability.
During law school, I interned with United States District Judge David J. Hittner, and United States District Judge Hayden W. Head, both of the Southern District of Texas.
Upon graduation, I joined the international law firm of Haynes and Boone, LLP as a business litigation associate. During my five years with the firm, I gained experience in litigating breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, conversion, declaratory judgments, business torts, deceptive trade practices, disputes between business owners, construction disputes, eminent domain/condemnation, personal injury, trade secrets, foreclosures, and personal and business bankruptcy. I have represented individuals and entities in the energy, petrochemical, banking, financial services, manufacturing, real estate, and telecommunications industries.
On May 15, 2010, my wife and I packed up our kids and returned home to Beeville, Texas. In this new venture, I am able to take the experience and training I received both in law school and at Haynes and Boone, and apply it to a general law practice. After several years of solo practice, I am pleased to join my father and sister in Morrill & Morrill, PLLC.
