Adoption Experience

I think we all can agree that family is the most important thing in our lives and unfortunately, we must at times make tough decisions due to unforeseen circumstances. And for my family, we had the unthinkable happened to us and had of burying our daughter and mother of two boys. And even though we k...new in our hearts that no matter what happened we were going to take care of them the best we possible could. But unfortunately in the State of Texas, your actions and intentions are sometimes not enough to ensure the safety and protection of your family especially in cases such as ours. And so, my wife and I knew that the best thing we can do for them is to legally adopt them. So we began by calling numerous family attorneys that are well known and established here in Victoria TX and after I explained how my daughter recently passed and wanting to adopt her two sons, the first response from every attorney we talked always began with the discussion of money and what it was going to cost me for. But for my wife and I, it wasn’t about the money, for us it was more about finding someone who genuinely cared about our family and our situation. And after talking to the majority of the family attorneys in Victoria Tx, I finally came across the Office of Attorney Cole Eckhoff, I explained to him our situation the first that came out of his of his mouth was that he was going to do everything in his power to insure that these boys are taken care of and at that moment I knew I found the right attorney for us. From the beginning to the end of the adoption process, Mr. Eckhoff and his team were honest and upfront with us, they explained the entire process toughly and made sure we understood what to expect the entire time. And while things did not always run smoothly at times due to no fault of Mr. Eckhoff and his team, they always kept us informed and they never shy’ d away from the truth of the matter. And on April 13th, Mr. Eckhoff fulfilled his promise to my wife and I by not only insuring that our newly adopted sons were taken care of now but also the future as well by informing us of the importance of setting up a will just in case something was to ever happen to either wife or I. And truthfully this was something we never even thought about or even considered. But after our discussion with Mr. Eckhoff and his team, we both understood that setting up a will was absolutely something that needed to be done not just for us but also for our newly adopted sons. And within a week or so, the paperwork for our final will and testimony was finalized and the end results could not have turned out to be any better for us. My wife and I are so happy that we chose Mr. Cole Eckhoff as our attorney and feel truly blessed to have him and his team by our side the entire way.
