Served while there as a prosecutor in the Special Crimes Division, a Chief Prosecutor in District Court, and as Chiel of the Appellate Division. Entered private practice with this law firm in Brenham in 1982. Represents numerous businesses in the Brenham area for many years, including 2 banks and a new car dealership. Also has defended 1000's of criminal cases in his practice in Brenham and surrounding counties since 1982. As a prosecutor and then a defense attorney, has well over 100 jury trials, ranging from misdemeanor cases, such as DWI and drug possession, to felony cases up to capital murder. An elected Trustee for the Brenham I.S.D., 1995-2000. Former President of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, Brenham Noon Lions Club, Washington County Bar Association ( twice ), and Brenham Dolphin Swim Team.
