Mirna Sofia Hidalgo

My name is Sofia Hidalgo, and I’m a Texas-licensed immigration attorney, proudly serving clients across the U.S. and abroad.

When I immigrated to the United States in 2017, I brought with me a Magna Cum Laude law degree and my license to practice law in El Salvador. Here, I discovered a deep calling for immigration law. That calling led me to pursue an LL.M. in Immigration and Nationality Law from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where I graduated in 2019 with a 4.0 GPA.

For over five years, I served as a Foreign Legal Consultant licensed by the State Bar of Texas, leading the family immigration department at FONG ILAGAN LLP. I later joined the Herrera Firm as an Associate Immigration Attorney, where I expanded my focus to include both family-based and employment-based immigration cases.

In 2025, I founded The Legal House, an immigration law firm rooted in compassion, strategy, and integrity. The Legal House is more than just a law office: it is a space where each client is heard, understood, and genuinely supported. We give every immigration story the legal care it deserves.

I come from a family of attorneys in El Salvador and am proud to carry that legacy forward in the U.S. — while also balancing life as a wife and mother of two young children.
