In 1973 I graduated from Baylor Law school at 23 years of age .In 1978 I became the Criminal District Attorney of Brazoria County, Texas at 29 years of age. I have been in private practice since January 1981. I am licensed to practice law throughout the state courts of Texas. I am also licensed to practice in the U.S . District Courts of the Southern District of Texas, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. I have presented lectures to fellow lawyers at legal seminars, including at the 2009 Juvenile and Criminal Law seminar in Honolulu. I have tried many felony and criminal cases of all kinds, including Capital murder cases, assaults, robberies,  DWIs, theft, have also tried many divorces, modifications,  and child custody cases . I have also successfully negotiated the settlement of many cases. I am a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Brazoria County Bar Association and the Fort Bend County Bar Association.
