I could not have asked better representation during my divorce. Virginia is excellent at what she does and handled my case wonderfully. My case was handled sense of urgency and a no-nonsense attitude. She is very responsive and always took my calls and responded to emails in a timely manner. I can tr...uly say I do not have a negative comment about my experience with her practice. I would highly recommend her services to anyone who needed a family attorney.

Assistance provided with a pretty simple divorce. Ms. Portz was overall professional and pleasant. The only complaint I have are the fees I paid upfront. Originally I requested and paid for an uncontested divorce, but the very next day (after a verbal showdown with my ex-spouse) I requested a cont...ested divorce instead and paid the additional fees for this. Well, soon thereafter my ex-spouse decided to not fight tooth and nail after all so back to an uncontested divorce we went. I understand the legal binding contract I signed--particularly the 'No Refunds' part--but it would have been nice to have the additional fees I'd paid for a contested divorce returned to me considering Ms. Portz hadn't yet drafted any documents nor really did much at that point (not only was I still ironing some things out on my end, but she had some personal affairs to tend to as well). Divorces are draining--emotional, financial, etc. I wasn't looking for a handout, but I don't think the additional fees I paid were warranted and out of fairness and just being a nice human being, I personally would have returned it to my client considering the work I was requested to do ended up being much less. Signed contract or not. But...maybe that's why I'm not a lawyer. *shrugs* Anyway...for a novice lawyer Ms. Portz took care of things to my liking. Only because of the unjustified fees I paid I wouldn't recommend her to anyone nor use her for any further services in the future.
