Dennis Sheehan

Dennis Sheehan has more than 30 years of experience. In the past few years.  His trial/mediation practice has spanned many diverse areas, such as, disputes in the oil and gas industry, health care fraud litigation, commercial and transactional litigation, debtor/creditor disputes, land use disputes, sexual harassment disputes, products liability litigation, and medical malpractice defense.  Sheehan has focused the majority of his practice in his role as Settlement Counsel, assisting counsel and parties in reaching a fair settlement and in assisting in Mass Tort Settlements as both Guardian Ad Litem and Allocation Counsel. In doing so Sheehan has worked on over 1500 cases involving such drugs as Paxil, Advair, Yaz, Topamax, and Risperdal. 

Sheehan's practice has taken him to numerous federal, state, and bankruptcy court venues in Texas and throughout the United States. During that time, Sheehan has handled appeals in the United States Supreme Court, The Texas Supreme Court, The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and various State Courts of Appeals.

In addition, Sheehan spent several years practicing in the Eastern Caribbean providing legal services to international and domestic businesses, developers, investors and associated enterprises enabling them to effectively conduct business in the Caribbean. Sheehan is a member of the Supreme Court of England & Wales and the Supreme Court of the Eastern Caribbean.

As a certified attorney Mediator Sheehan is dedicated to aiding parties and their attorneys in reaching a peaceable resolution of civil disputes. In his role as an unbiased, neutral third party, Sheehan facilitates open and thoughtful communications between the parties to promote reconciliation, settlement or an understanding among them. Based upon his work, Sheehan has been appointed as an Arbitrator for FINRA arbitrations.
