In 1996, Lakesha graduated magna cum laude from Spelman College. In 2004, she received her Juris Doctorate degree—magna cum laude—from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
Prior to founding the Law Office of Lakesha D. Holmes, PLLC, Lakesha was a Senior Attorney for Total Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc. Prior to that, she was an Oil and Gas associate attorney for Thompson & Knight, LLP.
Lakesha is active in the legal community and is committed to pro bono work. She is also deeply rooted in the Baytown community. She is a youth leader at the Purfect Love Fellowship Church. She also serves as Membership Chair and First Vice President of Baytown Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. and is a Board Member of the Lee College Alliance.
