Emma loves practicing family law and estate planning, because it gives her the opportunity to stand beside clients as they navigate through some of the most important times in their lives, whether it be a joyous adoption or a devastating divorce. Emma operates with compassion and treats every person as if their feelings and beliefs matter. Emma has been married for seven years, and is the mother of two children. As a mother, Emma understands that the primary importance in each case is promoting the best interest of the children involved.
Emma was born and raised in the farmlands of the Midwestern United States. She earned an Associate in Science degree from Lincoln Trail College, becoming the first person in her family to receive a college degree. Emma continued her education at Southern Illinois University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry. Emma attended her first year of law school at the University of Houston and her final two years at Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis, Indiana where she earned a Juris Doctorate degree cum laude in 2008.
Emma became licensed to practice law in Texas in 2008. She was also licensed to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office in 2010. Prior to founding The Haw Law Firm, Emma worked for law firms in the areas of intellectual property, family law and estate planning.
