Caroline Johnson Ortego

Caroline Ortego is a dedicated estate planning and probate attorney who combines her unique legal skills with a personal touch. A Louisiana native, she graduated from LSU Law in 2008 and moved to Texas the following year, where she has embraced the local culture, including attending the Katy ISD Livestock Show and Rodeo and enjoying her favorite tacos. Caroline's journey into estate planning began during law school when Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans. She volunteered with fellow students and attorneys to assist families in clearing titles for homes devastated by the storm, revealing the significant impact of informal property transfers without wills or probate. This experience highlighted the challenges faced by families in securing their legacies and accessing disaster assistance.
