Chase is a dedicated family law attorney at Skillern Firm, where he combines legislative experience, legal expertise, and client-focused representation to guide families through complex legal challenges. He understands that every family law matter is deeply personal and works tirelessly to protect his clients’ rights, interests, and peace of mind.
Chase earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Baylor University before beginning his career in the Texas Legislature as a Legislative Director and Policy Analyst. There, he developed a strong understanding of how laws are created and applied – experience that now informs his analytical and strategic approach to family law cases.
He obtained his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law Houston and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in November 2016. While in law school, Chase clerked for the Honorable Judge David Farr and Associate Judge Eileen Gaffney in the 312th District Court, where he gained valuable insight into the intricacies of family law litigation.
Chase began his legal career in 2015 as a law clerk and became an associate attorney in 2016. Over the course of his practice, he has represented clients in a wide range of family law matters, including paternity, child custody, property division, and marital agreements. He has extensive experience handling high-conflict custody disputes and complex asset division cases, managing matters from initial consultation through final resolution while providing strategic guidance and advocacy throughout the legal process.
In October 2025, Chase joined Skillern Firm as an Associate Attorney, continuing his commitment to providing compassionate and results-driven advocacy in all areas of family law. His practice includes divorce, custody, mediation, property division, and prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements. Chase’s clients value his approachable demeanor, strategic mindset, and dedication to achieving positive outcomes both in and out of the courtroom.

This guy is a total joke. I don’t know what is wrong with this guy but he missed hearings, missed filing deadlines. He is sloppy and a total mess. He needs to get it together
