Questionable ethics

Provides poor advise, willing to share former client details, and is more interested in taking your money and looking good than actually helping with the case.

Sherea Vitelli misreprents herself

Sherea Vitelli presented herself as a professional, caring & hardworking family law attorney to me. She explained that she chose to leave a prestigious law firm to work from home so she could be with her children more. She struck me as genuine & I retained her for $2500.00 to represent me in my divor...ce. Sherea Vitelli actually DRAGGED her feet when she had the opportunity to obtain a default against my ex-husband when he failed to show up to the very first court hearing. Sherea Vitelli communicated with his lawyer and the two of them decided to let it slide and reschedule. It was then that I knew divorces go on as long as the lawyers want them to. Sherea Vitelli produced a good initial write up of my terms, form letters on my behalf. The night before my very first actual court appearance ( after the initial had been reset per his & mines’ lawyers decision to drag things out), Ms Vitelli emailed me I would need to pay her $1500 in the morning if she was to represent me. I phoned her that evening to discuss what kind of prepping I needed to answer questions appropriately and move forward, all I could hear was her screaming at her children, she gave me none of her time & actually made me feel like I was a big pain in her ass. No prepping, even though she had told me we would do this. I had a very bad taste in my mouth. I fired her & retained an amazing lawyer who fought for me & we had a much better experience. I am so happy I found my new lawyer, just feel bad about Sherea Vitelli refusing to refund ANY of my $2500.00 while I had to fire her in a court of law and she actually flirted with the judge. She’s disgusting , no real morals except when they serve her own interests.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
